Choi Hyejin has climbed to 15th place in the world rankings.
On May 11 (local time), she scored 3.35 points in the Women's Golf Weekly World Rankings, moving up two spots from 17th last week. She accumulated ranking points by tying for third place at the Mizuho Americas Open (total prize money of USD 3.25 million) on the LPGA Tour, held at Mountain Ridge Country Club (par 72) in West Caldwell, New Jersey, USA, the previous day. This marks her best performance of the year and her third top-10 finish this season.
Choi Hyejin, who has recorded nine career wins (excluding amateur victories) on the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour, including one major title, joined the LPGA Tour in 2022 but has yet to secure a victory. Her personal best results are runner-up finishes at the Maybank Championship and the Meijer LPGA Classic last year, and at the 2022 CP Women's Open.
Nelly Korda (USA), Mizuho Americas Open champion Atthaya Thitikul (Thailand), and Kim Hyojoo, winner of the KLPGA Tour NH Investment & Securities Ladies Championship, maintained their positions in the top three.
