HanmiGlobal Forms Strategic Alliance with Canadian Engineering Firm for Joint U.S. Nuclear Power Projects
Strategic Alliance Agreement Signed
HanmiGlobal, a global construction project management (PM) company, announced on May 11 that it has signed a Strategic Alliance Agreement (SAA) with AtkinsRealis, a leading Canadian engineering firm, to jointly pursue projects in the fields of industrial plants, renewable energy, and nuclear power in the United States.
Through this agreement, HanmiGlobal and AtkinsRealis will collaborate throughout the entire project process, from project identification and proposal submission to securing orders and executing the work. The scope of cooperation includes not only construction project management, but also design and engineering, design review, local permitting consulting, and environmental impact assessment. For each project, the companies will determine the lead and participating parties to provide customized integrated construction engineering services tailored to the needs of the client.
The two companies will prioritize joint bids for large-scale energy projects in the United States, such as the construction of major production facilities by Korean companies, nuclear power plants, and renewable energy complexes. They also plan to establish a working-level consultative body to develop specific cooperation plans for each project and to continue regular information exchanges going forward.

It currently operates more than 90 offices in 32 U.S. states and is involved in numerous large-scale projects, including the “Energy Northwest” small modular reactor (SMR) project and the Miami-Dade waste-to-energy plant construction project.
HanmiGlobal has also demonstrated its capabilities in managing various U.S. plant construction projects for Korean companies, such as semiconductor, secondary battery, and subsea cable facilities, by securing local talent following its acquisition of U.S. design and engineering firm OTAK in 2011.
