TSMC April Revenue Reaches 19 Trillion Won, Up 17.5% Year-on-Year
TSMC announced on May 8 that its net revenue for April reached 410.7 billion New Taiwan Dollars (approximately 19.2413 trillion won), marking a 17.5% increase compared to the same month last year. This figure represents a 1.1% decrease from the previous month.
Bloomberg News explained that this demonstrates hyperscale companies are continuing to invest in the artificial intelligence (AI) boom. Alphabet, Amazon, Meta Platforms, and Microsoft have previously stated their plans to invest 725 billion dollars in the AI sector this year.
The cumulative net revenue for this year has reached 1.54 trillion New Taiwan Dollars, up 29.9% from the same period last year.

Last month, TSMC raised its outlook, predicting that this year's revenue growth rate will exceed 30%. The company also stated that capital expenditures are expected to approach the upper end of the previously announced range of up to 56 billion dollars.
