Jangseong County Senior Welfare Center Successfully Holds "Love You, Hyo" Event for Parents' Day

Over 300 Seniors Share Joyful Moments
Jangseong County Senior Welfare Center organized a variety of events to express respect and gratitude to the elderly in celebration of Parents' Day.
The Jangseong County Senior Welfare Center announced on May 8 that it recently hosted the "Love You, Hyo (Filial Piety)" event at the center, spending meaningful time with local seniors.
This event focused on experiential programs designed to promote both the health and emotional well-being of the elderly.
During the event, various activities were held, including musical performances, the "Nutritious Hyo Table" meal, the "Golden Bell Challenge" cognitive enhancement activity through quizzes, health consultations, and a mental health campaign. In particular, dementia prevention education and educational tool experience programs, organized in cooperation with Jangseong County Public Health Center and Jangseong County Dementia Relief Center, received an enthusiastic response.

These programs were structured around hands-on experiences, allowing seniors to naturally participate in dementia prevention activities, which increased their satisfaction.
Additionally, various experience booths were set up, such as making plaster air fresheners and playing magnetic dart games. Beverages such as strawberry lattes and citron-pomegranate iced tea were provided free of charge from a drink truck operated in partnership with cooperating companies, further enriching the festive atmosphere.
On this day, Director Kim Jongwon presented carnations and special Hyo side dishes to two seniors, Jeon Ilsoon, aged 102, and Yoon Deoksoon, aged 100, expressing his gratitude.
The event ran from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with about 300 seniors participating, making it a great success.
