Allegations of Former Prosecutor General Sim Woojung's Involvement in Martial Law
The second comprehensive special prosecutor's office is resuming its search and seizure of the e-Pros server on the prosecution's internal network in connection with allegations that former Prosecutor General Sim Woojung was involved in the 12·3 Martial Law declaration.

View original imageOn May 7, the special prosecutor's team announced to the media that starting at 2:00 p.m., they would resume the execution of a search and seizure warrant at the National Information Resources Service Gwangju Center in Gwangju Metropolitan City, under the on-site supervision of Deputy Special Prosecutor Kwon Youngbin.
The special prosecutor's team explained, "This is the resumption of the search and seizure operation, which had previously been suspended overnight, in connection with former Prosecutor General Sim's alleged involvement in major insurrection-related duties and abuse of authority."

Previously, the special prosecutor's team had been continuing its search and seizure of the e-Pros server since April 24. The team is investigating whether former Prosecutor General Sim, under the direction of former Justice Minister Park Sungjae, considered dispatching prosecutors to the Joint Investigation Headquarters during martial law.
