KOSPI Slightly Lower Below 7,400... KOSDAQ Shows Similar Trend
The KOSPI index surpassed the 7,500-point mark during intraday trading on the 7th, but has since been fluctuating around the 7,400 level.
According to the Korea Exchange, as of 1:35 p.m. on this day, the KOSPI was trading at 7,387.28, up 0.04% (2.72 points) from the previous session.
Individual investors have bought a net total of 8.03729 trillion won, while foreign investors and institutions have recorded net sales of 7.260332 trillion won and 782.449 billion won, respectively.
Among large-cap stocks, Doosan Enerbility (up 5.9%), HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (up 4.7%), Celltrion (up 3.7%), Hyundai Motor (up 3.6%), and Samsung C&T (up 3.4%) showed gains. On the other hand, Hanwha Aerospace (down 6.9%) and Mirae Asset Securities (down 5.8%) were declining.
On the 7th, the status of the domestic stock market was displayed on the electronic board at the dealing room of Hana Bank headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, as the KOSPI index surpassed the 7,500 mark early in the session, continuously hitting new highs. There was also a sharp contrast among large-cap KOSDAQ stocks. Simmtech (up 13.9%), Seojin System (up 13.6%), Padu (up 6.7%), Voronoi (up 4.4%), Jusung Engineering (up 4%), and Ecopro BM (up 2.6%) saw increases. ISC (down 4.1%), Peptron (down 4%), HPSP (down 3.5%), EO Technics (down 3.2%), Samchundang Pharm (down 3%), and Leeno Industrial (down 2.8%) declined.
