At the opening ceremony held prior to the start of the event, national short track speed skater Kim Gil-li, who is sponsored by KB Financial Group, participated to deliver a donation, and later joined the run alongside other participants, creating a lively atmosphere at the venue.
KB Kookmin Bank donated the entire participation fee, totaling around 170 million won, to Good Neighbors, a global child rights-focused non-governmental organization (NGO). The funds raised will be used to support child welfare programs.
In addition to this donation, KB Financial Group continues to lead inclusive finance through various group-level initiatives, such as operating KB Community Child Centers and KB Youth Centers, to support children and youth and bridge educational and cultural gaps between regions.
The event venue featured a variety of interactive program booths. Activities such as puzzle games and key ring making for children, food booths, and a record photo zone were offered, providing a rich array of experiences for families and other visitors as well as the runners.
In particular, a free engraving service that inscribed participants' completion times on their medals received enthusiastic responses from those taking part in the event.
