HLB Group has appointed Eunyeong Yang, former Chief Business Officer (CBO) at CHA Bio Group, as President and Head of Bio Business Development.
According to HLB Group, this appointment is part of a strategic shift from an R&D-focused approach to a commercialization-centric strategy. As President, Yang will oversee global technology licensing and acquisition, joint development, strategic alliances for major pipelines within HLB Group, as well as the establishment of global partnerships and the overall commercialization strategy at the commercial stage.
Yang graduated from the College of Pharmacy at Seoul National University. She holds pharmacist licenses in Korea and the U.S. states of Colorado, Florida, and Michigan. She previously managed product strategy and marketing at Roche Korea and Eli Lilly Korea, and also worked as a pharmacist at hospitals and pharmacies in the United States. After serving as Global Sales Head at Samsung Biologics, she took on the role of CBO and Vice President at CHA Bio Group from 2022, leading business development for CHA Biotech, CHA Vaccine Institute, and CMG Pharmaceutical.
