"KyoChon Responds to Pohang Elementary Student's Letter: 'We Can't Get Chicken Delivered'"
Food Truck Sent to Gibuk and Jukjeon Elementary Schools
"We can only eat chicken on special occasions. I wish there were small portions of chicken that we could share with our friends."
A letter arrived at the headquarters of KyoChon F&B, the operator of KyoChon Chicken. The letter was sent by Lee Jia, a sixth-grade student at Gibuk Elementary School in Buk-gu, Pohang, Gyeongbuk Province, ahead of Children's Day. Due to the high minimum order requirement for deliveries in the area, it is difficult to deliver chicken to the small school, which has only 16 students in total.
On the 30th of last month, at Gibuk Elementary School in Pohang, Gyeongbuk Province, employees of Kyochon F&B held a chicken party for the students during the Children's Day event and took commemorative photos. Provided by Kyochon F&B

Through the food truck, KyoChon prepared and served a total of 130 "Single Wing" chicken pieces in three flavors (soy sauce, red, and honey) and 40 servings of potato wedges to 62 people, including 33 students from the two schools and faculty members, right on site.
Lee Jia, the student who wrote the letter, said, "I wanted to eat chicken with my friends, play around, and have a moment where we could offer each other the last piece—and it really happened just like that, so I am so happy."
