On May 3, Jeong Cheong-rae, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, visited Gupo Market in Bukgu Gap, Busan, where the National Assembly by-election is being held, to campaign in support of candidate Ha Jung-woo. Jeong stated, "There is great interest in candidate Ha, and his favorability rating is very high. I will continue to work diligently with a humble and modest attitude until the end."
That afternoon, Jeong visited Gupo Market in Bukgu, Busan, toured the site with candidate Ha, and met with reporters. Regarding Busan, I am determined to act as the head of the 'Anything for You Center,' and I will do my utmost until the citizens of Busan say 'okay.'"
Candidate Ha commented, "When I first visited Gupo Market, many residents welcomed me, and today as well, some people said, 'It's so nice to see you so often,' while others asked, 'Why did you come only now?' I am grateful for their warm welcome," adding, "I will continue to visit with humility and never lose my original intentions."
Jeong Myung-hee, the Democratic Party's candidate for Bukgu District Mayor, stated, "Bukgu in Busan has become the hottest area in the country. Candidate Jeon Jae-soo is running for Busan mayor, and in Bukgu Gap, the Democratic Party has nominated Ha Jung-woo, an AI expert especially cherished by President Lee Jae-myung. If we combine Jeong Myung-hee’s administrative experience with these strengths, I believe the future of Bukgu will be brighter than ever."
