Cheering for Office Workers on "After Work Day"
Stories of Everyday Heroes, Up Close
NC Dinos once again delivered a heartwarming moment by bringing a special occasion for ordinary office workers onto the mound.
NC announced that on April 30, during its home game against the KIA Tigers at Changwon NC Park, the team held a special ceremonial pitch event in celebration of "After Work Day."
This event was organized to encourage office workers who have consistently given their best, even in the midst of repetitive daily routines.
The protagonist was Daegon Lee, who retired on this day after working for 35 years at the same company.
The ceremonial pitcher was selected through a story contest, and his daughter, Eunji Lee, moved the crowd by sharing the story of her father's lifelong devotion to their family.
In particular, Eunji Lee gave up the ceremonial pitch opportunity to her father and instead took the ceremonial bat, adding even more meaning to the event.
Daegon Lee said, "Thanks to my daughter, I received a day I will never forget. It is especially meaningful to create such a memory at the NC home stadium, where I have visited with my family since childhood." He added, "I will continue to visit the ballpark with my family and cheer for NC."
Eunji Lee also remarked, "At least for today, I wanted my father to be the main character. We originally planned to visit the ballpark as a family to celebrate his retirement, but after seeing the event, I submitted our story, and being selected made it an even more special day."
Since its founding, NC has consistently cultivated a ceremonial pitch culture focused on "community engagement" and "meaningful messages." Citizens who saved entire families from landslides, local figures who have provided free wedding ceremonies for decades, and individuals who have overcome disabilities and illnesses have all taken the mound to share their inspiring stories.

A club representative stated, "We will continue to discover and share the special stories of ordinary people with our fans. Our goal is to make the ballpark not just a stadium, but a place that connects the community and people through inspiring moments."
