Dolce & Gabbana Beauty Grows 59% Driven by Color Cosmetics... New Product Launches to Boost Demand
Color Cosmetics Drive Sales Growth, Led by Lipsticks and Cushions
TWICE’s Chaeyoung Selected as Model; Promotions Target Broader Consumer Base
Dolce & Gabbana Beauty, the Italian beauty brand imported and sold by Shinsegae International, has seen a rise in sales, particularly driven by its color cosmetics products.
On May 3, Dolce & Gabbana Beauty announced that its sales from January to April of this year increased by 59% compared to the same period last year. This growth is attributed to continued consumer demand for beauty products, which are perceived as relatively affordable indulgences amid high inflation. Categories such as lipsticks and cushion foundations have led this expansion.
Accordingly, Dolce & Gabbana Beauty plans to maintain its growth momentum by expanding its range of color cosmetics and strengthening its marketing efforts. The brand has selected Chaeyoung from the group TWICE as its model to broaden its appeal among younger consumers in their 20s to 40s and will sequentially launch new products.
This month, the brand will introduce two new products: the lip tint “Rose Dew Lip Bite” and the blush stick “Cherry Glaze Bar.” The “Rose Dew Lip Bite” is characterized by its natural tint and moisturizing effect. A total of six shades, including baby pink and red, which are popular among Korean customers, will be available, priced at around 48,000 won for 6ml. The “Cherry Glaze Bar” is a blush stick that delivers both hydration and shine, featuring a cream-based formula for strong adherence and easy application. It will be released in five shades at around 67,000 won for 11g.
Throughout May, promotions will be held both online and offline. Customers will receive complimentary gifts with the purchase of certain products, and online channels will offer engraving services as well.
