Blue House: "A Step Reflecting Commitment to Inclusive Communication"
President Lee Jae-myung will host a luncheon meeting with members of non-negotiating groups and independent lawmakers at the Blue House on April 29.
A total of 21 participants will attend the meeting, including members from five non-negotiating parties—namely, the Korea Reformation Party, Progressive Party, Reform New Party, Basic Income Party, and Social Democratic Party—as well as independent lawmakers. This is the first time President Lee has invited all members of non-negotiating groups. Key Blue House officials, including Chief of Staff Kang Hoon-sik, Senior Political Advisor Cho Jeong-sik, and Senior Secretary for Political Affairs Hong Ik-pyo, will also be present.

The luncheon is intended to express solidarity and gratitude to lawmakers who have cooperated in overcoming national crises and maintaining stable governance, and to emphasize bipartisan cooperation in addressing livelihood issues and the legislative process.
During the luncheon, President Lee is expected to listen to the opinions of minority parties on current state affairs and seek their cooperation on measures to address livelihood challenges arising from the crisis in the Middle East. In addition, he is expected to share the outcomes of his recent state visits to India and Vietnam.

Previously, in January, President Lee hosted a luncheon with party leaders at Sangchunjae in the Blue House. In March, he held a dinner with first-term lawmakers from the Democratic Party of Korea, and on April 7, he held a meeting and luncheon of the bipartisan and government consultative body on economic and livelihood issues with Democratic Party leader Jeong Cheong-rae and People Power Party leader Jang Dong-hyuk.
