Netflix to Produce Director Yoon Jongbin's Film "Ordinary People"
Son Sukku as Roh Taewoo, Ha Jungwoo as Chun Doohwan
Set in the 1980s, depicting the power ambitions of the new military regime
Netflix announced on April 27 that it will produce director Yoon Jongbin's new film, "Ordinary People."
The film tells the story of Roh Tae-woo, who served as the second-in-command under Chun Doo-hwan, and the people surrounding him. Set during the 1980s under the new military dictatorship, it explores human desire for power.
Son Sukku will play Roh Tae-woo, while Ha Jungwoo will portray Chun Doo-hwan. Ji Changwook appears as Heo Hakseong, a junior from the Korea Military Academy whom Roh Tae-woo is wary of. Hyun Bongshik takes on the role of Jung Hojung, a longtime friend and classmate of both Roh Tae-woo and Chun Doo-hwan, and Seo Hyunwoo plays Park Chulwoong, a prosecutor in the public security department of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office and a close aide to Roh Tae-woo.
