Case Returned About a Month After Being Sent to the Prosecution
The prosecution has requested supplementary investigation from the police regarding the city bus accident in which a bus drove onto the sidewalk near Seodaemun Station on Seoul Subway Line 5 last January.

View original imageAccording to the legal community on the 27th, the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office requested supplementary investigation from the police regarding the case of Mr. A, a bus driver in his 50s who was sent to the prosecution without detention on April 1 on charges of injuring others under the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Settlement of Traffic Accidents.
Mr. A is accused of injuring a total of 13 people, including two pedestrians, when he drove a city bus onto the sidewalk at an intersection near Seodaemun Station in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, on January 16 this year. Mr. A himself was also injured.
The prosecution explained that the case was returned to the police because the suspect is denying the charges, and it was determined that supplementary investigation is needed to further clarify the facts related to the charges, such as whether there was a vehicle defect.
