Recently, youth gambling has been spreading rapidly as it is easily accessible through content disguised as games. The high addiction potential and financial damage associated with it have become significant social concerns. In particular, gambling experiences formed during adolescence can lead to future financial problems and criminal behavior, underscoring the importance of prevention and proper financial education.
Korea Investment Trust Management plans to continue its efforts to spread a responsible financial culture and support youths in developing sound economic awareness so they can grow into healthy members of society.
CEO Paik stated, "Illegal cyber gambling targeting youths is not just entertainment but a serious social problem," adding, "I hope this campaign will help young people recognize the dangers of gambling and form healthy financial habits."
