JejuSalt Secures Seed Investment from Bluepoint Partners...Manufacturing Salt Using Volcanic Bedrock Seawater
Functional mineral raw material startup JejuSalt announced on April 22 that it has secured seed investment from accelerator Bluepoint Partners.
JejuSalt is a company that manufactures functional mineral raw materials such as salt, magnesium, and silicon using Jeju volcanic bedrock seawater. This volcanic bedrock seawater is a raw material authorized only for companies located in the Jeju Volcanic Bedrock Seawater Complex.
The company's core strength is its proprietary LabSalt processing technology, which separates and processes minerals to supply them as standardized raw materials. The company plans to enter the market initially through premium salt B2C sales, while also focusing on growing its B2B supply of raw materials for the food, wellness, and beauty sectors.
Founder and CEO Ko Kyungmin holds a Ph.D. in marine biology and has more than 20 years of experience in the field. Since its establishment in March last year, the company has been selected for TIPS, obtained certifications as a venture company and as a company-affiliated research institute, and has already begun to generate initial sales.
Ham Seulbeom, Senior Investment Manager at Bluepoint Partners, stated, "This is a team that is transforming marine minerals into standardized functional raw materials, leveraging Jeju volcanic bedrock seawater as a unique resource and its LabSalt processing technology. We believe there is high potential for JejuSalt to grow as a raw material platform that can expand into the food, wellness, and beauty industries."

Ko Kyungmin, CEO of JejuSalt, said, "We aim to become a manufacturer that standardizes marine minerals into functional raw materials through the LabSalt process, rather than simply being a salt brand. We will continue to grow as a mineral raw material company recognized in the global market."
