Sejong University Discusses Content Education Partnership with Sheridan College
Expanding Collaboration with the Alma Mater of the "K-Pop Demon Hunters" Director
Sejong University announced on April 22 that it had invited representatives from Sheridan College in Canada on April 2 to hold a meeting aimed at strengthening the global content education partnership.

View original imageThe event was attended by Jonghwa Um, President of Sejong University; Lee Chung-hoon, Director of External Cooperation; Lee Soon-gi, Head of the Department of Cartoon and Animation Technology; and Professor Choi Seo-young, as well as Cindy Gouveia, President of Sheridan College, and Rajan Sandhu, Vice President of Sheridan College.
Known in the industry as the "Harvard of Animation," Sheridan College is a public higher education institution established in 1967. In the "2025 Animation Career Review (ACR)," it was ranked as the world's second-best animation school.
Notably, Maggie Kang, director of the Netflix animation "K-Pop Demon Hunters," is an alumna of Sheridan College's animation program.
Before the meeting, the visiting delegation toured production facilities at Sejong University, including “Team Studio Sejong” in Gwanggaeto Hall and the “Motion Capture Studio” in Gunja Hall.
During the subsequent practical meeting, the two universities discussed concrete plans for exchange with Sejong University's Department of Cartoon and Animation Technology. Both institutions explored the possibility of expanding student and research exchanges based on their respective educational expertise and cooperating to jointly nurture creative talent who will lead the global content industry.
In addition, during the meeting, the presidents of both institutions agreed to contribute to the advancement of animation education in both countries through ongoing partnership, reinforcing their mutually friendly relationship.

President Um stated, "This meeting was an opportunity to reaffirm the international status of Sejong University's Department of Cartoon and Animation Technology," adding, "We will continue to provide students with opportunities to advance onto the global stage by actively building an international network."
