Jung Wono Camp’s Lee Haesik: "Oh Sehoon Blames Others and the Past... Repeating Incompetent Administration"
Rebuttal to Oh's Claim: "The Lee Administration Will Not Support Gangnam Reconstruction"
Lee Haesik, a lawmaker serving as Chief General Election Campaign Headquarters Officer for Jeong Wono, the Democratic Party of Korea candidate for Seoul Mayor, strongly criticized incumbent Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon's remark on April 20 that "the Lee Jae-myung administration will not support Gangnam reconstruction," calling it a "lie."

He stated, "A responsible apology must follow for using groundless fear marketing to politically exploit both the hopes and anxieties of residents in redevelopment areas."
Lee pointed out, "The Cover Park Project was a major issue connected to redevelopment projects along the Han River, such as Apgujeong, Banpo, and Seongsu, but during the Yoon Suk-yeol administration, the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Ministry of Environment remained at odds, leaving the matter unresolved for some time."
He explained, "During that time, rather than seeking solutions, Mayor Oh merely blamed regulations and conditions. In August 2025, when the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Ministry of Environment were still at a standoff, Jeong Wono, then the head of Seongdong District, along with the heads of Gangnam and Seocho districts, directly met with Environment Minister Kim Seonghwan to request a resolution."
He continued, "That meeting opened the way for a solution, and in October of that year, the National Water Resources Management Committee reviewed and approved the Han River Basic Plan to allow the creation of the Cover Park. After the launch of the Lee Jae-myung administration, the Cover Park issue actually began to be resolved."

He added, "A mayor who could not even resolve issues linked to redevelopment now blames the government and stokes public anxiety—this is a repeated display of incompetent administration that always blames others and the past. Mayor Oh must clearly apologize to the citizens for lying as if the Lee Jae-myung administration would hinder redevelopment."
