KIAF Seoul 2026 Appoints Junguho as Creative Director
First Appointment of an External Director
Overseeing Branding, Spatial Design, and Special Exhibition Planning
The Korea Gallery Association, which operates KIAF Seoul, announced on the 20th that designer Junguho has been appointed as the creative director for the 2026 event. This is the first time that KIAF has appointed an external creative director.

View original imageDirector Junguho is a visual arts director who has worked across various fields including fashion, performing arts, and exhibition planning. He has led numerous projects including the fashion brand KUHO, and has been responsible for directing and stage/costume design for performances by the National Dance Company of Korea, the Korean National Ballet, and the Korea National Opera. He has also served as the art director for the Korean Craft Exhibition in Milan, chief director of the Craft Trend Fair, and curator for museum exhibitions.
This appointment is part of a strategy to enhance KIAF’s brand competitiveness and differentiate the visitor experience, as Seoul is emerging as an international art hub. Director Jung will oversee branding, spatial design, and special exhibition planning for KIAF Seoul 2026, and plans to redefine the exhibition structure to focus on the visitor experience.
Director Jung stated, "I will strive to ensure that our art market can establish a new balance between technology and sensibility," and added, "I will help KIAF become a meaningful platform in the global art market."
Lee Sunghoon, head of the KIAF Seoul Organizing Committee, said, "We look forward to Director Junguho’s insights, which cross the boundaries of fashion, performance, craft, and exhibition, bringing fresh change and vitality to KIAF Seoul 2026."
