This project, led by Seoul City, is a comprehensive program that provides scientific diagnostic tests, tailored psychological counseling, and follow-up care for young people aged 19 to 39 who require psychological support.
Previously, only Seoul residents could benefit from this program, but with Sahmyook University's selection as a partner, any enrolled student at Sahmyook University can now receive support, regardless of whether their registered address is in Seoul.
If the Sahmyook University Student Counseling Center identifies and recommends a student in the high-risk group, that student is connected to professional counseling "immediately" through a dedicated fast-track service without undergoing a complex application process.
By enabling the university to directly connect students, the support process has been greatly simplified, significantly improving both the speed of counseling intervention and user convenience.
The counseling process begins with two types of online preliminary psychological assessments and an in-depth interview, through which students' mental states are classified into four categories: general group, support group, potential clinical group, and clinical group.
Afterward, a certified counselor provides up to six sessions (50 minutes each) of one-on-one customized counseling, either face-to-face or via online video, according to the student's classification.
Even after counseling ends, "close follow-up care" is provided, tailored to the student's mental state and individual goals.
For young people aiming for professional achievement, the university offers programs to strengthen competencies, including career planning, employment consulting, and onboarding (organizational adaptation) programs in collaboration with the Job Center.
For those prioritizing emotional and physical health, the university provides healing programs such as the "Youth Customized Garden Prescription," where students can experience garden walks and participate in beauty and food gardening activities.
