Gyeonggi Province to Hold Memorial Period Ahead of 12th Sewol Ferry Anniversary
To mark the 12th anniversary of the Sewol ferry disaster, Gyeonggi Province will designate a memorial period from April 13 to 19 to honor the victims and remember the tragedy together with its residents.
During this period, Gyeonggi Province will raise memorial flags for the Sewol ferry at the Suwon Gwanggyo Provincial Government Building and the Uijeongbu Northern Government Complex. The memorial flags feature a yellow background with a ribbon and the message, "A small movement can create a great miracle."
Additionally, stand-type banners displaying the message, "The twelfth spring, Gyeonggi Province stands stronger through the power of remembrance," will be installed at the entrances and lobbies of the government buildings.
