[Market Focus] Samsung Electro-Mechanics Surges 8% on Expectations of Strengthened Position Within Nvidia
Samsung Electro-Mechanics is showing strong performance amid expectations that its position within Nvidia will be further strengthened.
As of 9:13 a.m. on April 10, Samsung Electro-Mechanics was trading at 560,000 won, up 8.53% (44,000 won) from the previous trading day.
In a report released on this day, Meritz Securities stated, "In the era of full-scale embedded PCBs, Samsung Electro-Mechanics is the only company with a business structure capable of supplying both silicon capacitors and Ajinomoto build-up film (ABF) substrates at the same time. In addition, its strategic position within Nvidia in North America is being further strengthened by being incorporated into the language processing unit (LPU) supply chain."

Yang Seungsoo, a researcher at Meritz Securities, said, "In the mid- to long-term, the company's strategic position within Nvidia is expected to continue to strengthen as its supply scope expands to include data processing units (DPUs) and spectrum-X-based co-packaged optics (CPO), among others."
