Jiae Park of Joheungkang'an Hospital Achieves 9,000 Pediatric Echocardiography Cases in 13 Years
Role in Early Detection of Pediatric Heart Disease
Jiae Park, Head of the Department of Pediatrics at Joheungkang'an Hospital, has achieved 9,000 pediatric echocardiography cases.
On April 9, Joheungkang'an Hospital announced that Jiae Park had performed 9,000 pediatric echocardiography cases over approximately 13 years, from May 2013 to March 2026.
Pediatric echocardiography is a crucial examination for detecting structural and functional abnormalities of the heart, such as congenital heart disease. It is used to diagnose symptoms in growing children, including chest pain, palpitations, and fainting. In particular, as it is often difficult for pediatric patients to cooperate during the examination, a high level of skill and experience is required.
This achievement is considered the result of continued stable medical care based on extensive clinical experience and expertise accumulated over the years.
