The group BTS will kick off their world tour, "ARIRANG," on April 9 at the main stadium of Goyang Sports Complex.
According to Big Hit Music, the tour will begin with the Goyang performance and continue with a total of 85 shows in 34 cities, including Japan, the United States, Germany, France, and Peru. It is expected to attract the largest audience ever for a K-pop tour. The tour will feature a 360-degree open stage.
All 46 shows, including those in Goyang, Tokyo, and the North American tour, are sold out. The concert planning company Live Nation announced, "We sold 2.4 million tickets for just the 41 shows in North America and Europe."
BTS has also extended their South American tour schedule. On the previous day, through the fan platform Weverse, they announced that they would add one more show each in Lima, Peru; Santiago, Chile; and Buenos Aires, Argentina. The group will also set a record as the first Korean artists to perform at Estadio El Campín in Bogotá, Colombia, and Estadio Único de La Plata in Buenos Aires.
During this tour, BTS will perform new songs from their fifth album "ARIRANG," which topped the Billboard 200 main album chart for two consecutive weeks, along with their previous hit songs. After performing in Goyang for three days, they will move on to Tokyo Dome in Japan to continue their shows starting April 17.
