SHIN & KIM Recruits National Policy Coordination Veteran
Policy Expert with Experience in Regulatory Sandbox and Public Deliberation Joins the Firm
Sejong LLC has appointed Nam Hyung-ki, former Second Deputy Minister of the Office for Government Policy Coordination (vice-minister level), as an advisor.
According to the legal community on April 9, Advisor Nam, who has joined Sejong, is expected to provide consulting services on regulatory risk management for corporations, strategies to respond to policy changes, and management of public conflicts.
Advisor Nam began his public service career in 1993 by passing the 37th Higher Civil Service Examination and has since worked for nearly 30 years in central government agencies as a policy expert. At the Office for Government Policy Coordination, he served as Director General for National Affairs, Director General for Regulatory Innovation, and Director General for Safety and Environmental Policy, overseeing major national policy issues. He has built expertise in planning and coordination by managing complex policy agendas, such as the introduction of the regulatory sandbox system, supporting the public debate for Shin Kori Units 5·6, and reorganizing the national disaster management system. He also contributed to the design and coordination of climate, environment, and carbon neutrality policies while serving at the Presidential Secretariat. He is recognized as an outstanding expert in regulatory reform, policy response, and conflict mediation.
