The event was sponsored by Seo-gu Honours, a high-value donor group in Seo-gu, and a total of 18 million won in donations was used throughout the event.
The event was organized with the participation of the Seo-gu Welfare Center for the Disabled as the operating institution, providing an opportunity for people with disabilities and their families, who may have difficulty participating in outdoor activities, to enjoy rest in nature. It was also designed to broaden understanding and empathy between people with and without disabilities.
On this day, about 160 people, including low-income individuals with disabilities and their families, Seo-gu Honours members, and volunteers, participated in the event. They walked together for approximately 2.7 kilometers along Yongmaru-gil, sharing the warmth of the spring day.
After the trekking, participants shared a meal in nature and enjoyed a variety of participatory programs, including popera, magic, and bongo performances, as well as natural dyeing experiences and writing wish cards.
The photos taken during the event will be exhibited under the theme "Together Spring, Seeing Together" in the lobby on the first floor of the Seo-gu District Office from April 13 to April 17.
Lee Ikang, the head of Seo-gu District Office, stated, "This event was a time to directly experience the value of understanding differences and living together," adding, "Moving forward, we will continue to expand inclusive welfare policies that anyone can participate in and benefit from, with Seo-gu Honours and 012 Partners at the center."
