Pakistani Prime Minister Sharif Requests Trump to Extend Iran Negotiation Deadline by Two Weeks
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who is mediating negotiations between the United States and Iran, has requested U.S. President Donald Trump to extend the negotiation deadline by two weeks.
Prime Minister Sharif stated on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), "In order to allow diplomacy to fulfill its role, I earnestly request President Trump to extend the deadline by two weeks."
He added, "Pakistan sincerely asks our Iranian brothers to keep the Strait of Hormuz open as a goodwill gesture for the corresponding two weeks," and urged, "For long-term regional peace and stability, I call on all warring parties to observe a complete ceasefire for two weeks so that diplomacy can ultimately put an end to the war."
