Goryeong Culture and Tourism Foundation Launches "Culture Everywhere Day"
Gaya Music Therapy Program Delivered to Local Communities
The Goryeong Culture and Tourism Foundation in North Gyeongsang Province held the first program of the "2026 Culture Everywhere Day" project on April 1 at the auditorium on the third floor of the Dasan Administrative Complex Town.
This project, hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and North Gyeongsang Province and promoted in cooperation with the Gyeongbuk Cultural Foundation, is a cultural and arts initiative designed to strengthen cultural enjoyment for residents in areas with limited access to cultural infrastructure by directly providing cultural services in their communities.
At the first event, the Department of Art Therapy at Daegu Catholic University participated and conducted the "Gaya Music Therapy Program in the Village." Through experiential activities involving both young people and local residents, the program fostered intergenerational understanding and provided a healing time through culture and the arts.
"Culture Everywhere Day" will be held a total of 15 times from April to November throughout Goryeong County, with customized programs for various groups, including the elderly, children, and people with disabilities. Highlights include Gaya music therapy, fusion Korean traditional music concerts, storytelling grandpa and black light performances, children's culture classes, and healing culture festivals, among a diverse array of cultural and artistic programs.
