Han Donghoon: "There Was Undeniably a Remittance to North Korea for Lee Jaemyung's Visit"
"Officially Recognized by the Supreme Court"
Han Refutes Seo Young-kyo's Special Committee Report
Han Dong-hoon, former representative of the People Power Party, insisted that the allegations of North Korea-bound remittances involving President Lee Jae-myung and Ssangbangwool Group were “undeniably true.”

He emphasized, “The real issue is not edited audio or manipulated recordings, but whether or not there was a North Korea-bound remittance to facilitate Governor Lee Jae-myung’s visit to the North—this is the core of the crime.” He went on to ask, “Can Assemblywoman Seo Young-kyo take responsibility for that lie?” The “remittance to North Korea” Han referred to is the allegation that, in 2019, while Lee was serving as Governor of Gyeonggi Province, Ssangbangwool Group ordered the transfer of millions of dollars to North Korea under the pretext of ‘expenses for the visit.’
On the same day, Assemblywoman Seo wrote on Facebook, “I have concluded the agency report for the Yoon Suk-yeol administration’s special parliamentary committee on political prosecution. The horrendous acts of the political prosecutors have been fully exposed.” The “Special Committee on the Investigation of Alleged Fabricated Prosecution under the Yoon Suk-yeol Administration” that includes Seo held its first agency report related to these allegations on April 3.
Seo argued, “Park Sang-yong (prosecutor) and others prepared and manipulated the case to eliminate Lee Jae-myung and reached a predetermined conclusion. Park Sang-yong refused to take the witness oath. That, in effect, is an admission of a fabricated investigation and prosecution, and a decision to commit perjury.” She added, “All the People Power Party members left, showing their weakness. I will hold ringleader Yoon Suk-yeol, underboss Han Dong-hoon, and hunter Park Sang-yong accountable.”
In response, former Representative Han stated, “Why do they tell such brazen lies—what will they do if North Korea reveals the details of how they received the money? North Korea can use those remittance records as leverage against the Lee Jae-myung administration at any time.”
He continued, “There was undoubtedly a multimillion-dollar remittance to North Korea for Lee Jae-myung’s visit, and this is a fact officially recognized by the Supreme Court of Korea.”
Han further remarked, “It seems Assemblywoman Seo is trying to forcibly overturn the Supreme Court’s decision, but this time, just like when she allegedly asked a dispatched judge to be lenient to a sex offender, her lobbying won’t work.”
The “lobbying” Han referred to involves allegations that, in 2019, Seo asked the court to change the charge from attempted indecent assault to public indecency and to impose a fine for a family member of a campaign staffer who was about to be sentenced. Although the court did not change the charge, it is known that they imposed a fine on the grounds the man suffered from exhibitionism and the victim did not wish for punishment.
