"Up to 100,000 Won for Driving Less"... Ulsan Expands Participation in Carbon Neutrality Point Automobile Program

Incentives Offered for Non-Commercial Internal Combustion Engine Vehicles
The Ulsan city government is set to further encourage public participation by launching an additional registration period for the 'Carbon Neutrality Point (Automobile)' program.
According to Ulsan city, approximately 800 more vehicles will be recruited to participate in the Carbon Neutrality Point (Automobile) program from April 6 to April 10.
The Carbon Neutrality Point (Automobile) program provides incentives based on performance to those who reduce greenhouse gas emissions by driving their vehicles less. Depending on the level of reduction achieved, participants can receive benefits ranging from a minimum of 20,000 won to a maximum of 100,000 won.
Eligible vehicles include non-commercial passenger cars and vans (with 12 seats or fewer) that run on gasoline, diesel, or LPG. Electric vehicles, hybrids, hydrogen vehicles, and vehicles registered in other cities or provinces are not eligible.
Applications can be submitted on the Carbon Neutrality Point (Automobile) website after registering as a member, up until April 10. Existing participants must also log in and complete the re-application process to join this year’s program.

An Ulsan city official stated, "Through this additional recruitment, we hope to expand voluntary citizen participation in carbon reduction and further spread a culture of carbon neutrality in daily life."
