Nanocamtech to Change Name to "LSK AI Robot" and Accelerate Shift to AI Robotics Business
Nanocamtech, a KOSDAQ-listed company, is moving to change its corporate name in order to expand its artificial intelligence (AI)-based robotics business.
On April 3, Nanocamtech announced that it will hold an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders on May 12 and propose an amendment to its articles of incorporation to change its name to "LSK AI Robot Co., Ltd." The name change will be finalized after receiving shareholder approval and completing the listing amendment process.
This name change is aimed at securing new growth engines and improving the company's image by entering AI-based content production and robotics software businesses.
The company has already begun laying the groundwork for its AI business. On March 25, Nanocamtech acquired shares of the AI application software developer Onetouch AI, becoming its largest shareholder. Based on this, the company is simultaneously working on internalizing AI and robotics technologies and transforming its business structure.
Onetouch AI is an information and communications-based application software development company with core competencies in AI and robotic vision technologies. In particular, CEO Jongwon Choi is a former principal researcher at the Samsung SDS Artificial Intelligence Research Center and has extensive research, development, and commercialization experience in the fields of robotic vision and AI. Through presenting papers at international conferences and participating in public and industry-academia collaboration projects, he has established strong technological competitiveness.
