Announces Focus on Treatment After Release on Bail
A video showing the arrest of 'golf emperor' Tiger Woods (United States) on suspicion of drugged driving has been released.
On April 2 (local time), AP reported, "The police body camera footage from the time of Woods's arrest has been released," adding, "Woods told the police officer, 'I just spoke to the President.'"
Late last month, Woods was involved in a car accident near his home in Florida, United States, in which his vehicle overturned. Although he tested negative on the breathalyzer, Woods refused to take a urine test. It is highly likely that he caused the accident while driving under the influence of drugs. After being released on bail, Woods stated, "I will suspend my activities going forward and focus on treatment."

However, the report added, "It is unclear whether the President Woods mentioned was U.S. President Donald Trump."
It is known that Woods is in a relationship with Vanessa, the former daughter-in-law of President Trump. After Woods's arrest, President Trump commented, "Woods is very close to me," and added, "He is a great person, but it is unfortunate that he seems to be going through a difficult time right now."

The body camera footage also shows Woods wearing handcuffs, hiccuping, yawning, and dozing off in the back seat of the police car. In addition, police were seen discovering two pills in Woods's pocket, to which Woods explained they were "painkillers." Woods told the officers, "I was changing the radio channel while looking at my cell phone, and then suddenly there was a 'bang' sound," describing the circumstances of the accident.
