KB Kookmin Card to Support Fuel and Transportation Costs Amid High Oil Prices: "Part of Inclusive Finance"
Fuel-Specialized Card and 'K-Pass Card' Offer Linked Benefits
KB Kookmin Card announced on April 2 that it will implement measures to alleviate the burden of fuel and transportation costs in response to rising oil prices and increased customer expenses caused by recent instability in the Middle East.
First, when using a fuel-specialized card, customers will receive an additional benefit of 50 won per liter, for a maximum benefit of 150 won per liter. New and dormant customers who issue one of the four fuel discount cards will receive a 100% annual fee cashback benefit.
For users of the 'KB Kookmin K-Pass Card,' the company will provide an additional 30% of the K-Pass refund to further reduce transportation costs. This benefit will be awarded by lottery to 50,000 customers until next month.
Customers who make payments of 10,000 won or more with the KB Kookmin K-Pass Card at Onnuri gift certificate affiliated merchants will be eligible for a cashback benefit by lottery. Through this, KB Kookmin Card aims to offer support to consumers and small business owners struggling with recent price increases.
Support measures for all KB Kookmin Card customers have also been prepared. Among customers who spend more than 100,000 won on fuel and public transportation, a total of 2,111 will be selected by lottery to receive fuel assistance: 1 million won for 1 person, 500,000 won for 10 people, 50,000 won for 100 people, and 5,000 won for 2,000 people.
KB Kookmin Card has also been providing customer guidance in line with the government's transportation and energy policy directions since March 27.
Through the main screen of the KB Pay application, government policy information is provided, and information on vehicle numbers eligible for operation under the five-day rotation system is proactively offered according to the day of the week.
Meanwhile, KB Kookmin Card will also actively participate in a joint response being led by the Credit Finance Association within the card industry.
A KB Kookmin Card representative stated, "Through this support, implemented as part of inclusive finance, we hope to further ease the burden of fuel and transportation costs for more customers, while also providing warmth to small business owners."
