17 Daegu Companies to Hire 52 Women Returning to Work... Good Job Café for Women's Jobs
Daegu City will hold this year’s first “Good Job Café for Women’s Jobs on the Go” at Café Joanna (Chilgok Branch) in Buk-gu at 11 a.m. on April 3, targeting women who are unemployed or have experienced career interruptions and wish to find employment.
The “Good Job Café” is a customized, on-site employment support program for women that has been held annually since 2016. Utilizing accessible cafés or external event venues, the program offers one-stop support from job counseling to on-site interviews, and has received a great deal of positive feedback. Last year, a total of 11 events resulted in 246 successful job placements, and this year’s program will be held nine times, starting with this first event.
This event will feature 17 employers with plans to hire 52 people in total. The event is divided into direct hiring, where five companies will conduct on-site interviews and hire 30 people immediately, and indirect hiring, where 12 companies will recommend candidates and hire 22 people.
The five companies offering direct on-site interviews are Dongcheon STM Math, Central Nursing Hospital, Sarang Boa Silvertown, Coupang Fulfillment Service, and Sayuwon. The 12 companies participating in indirect hiring are JCS International Co., Ltd., Hansung FNC Co., Ltd., Tteokpanneun Saramdeul Co., Ltd., Sangsang Co., Ltd., Seongyeol Caregiver Training Center, Daegu Shinhwa Fisheries Co., Ltd., Ilsim Senior Welfare Center, Daegu Care Nursing Home, Gaho Senior Welfare Center Co., Ltd., Kyungdae Dol Dam Hospital, Daegu City Hospital, and Cheokcheok Hospital.
The main positions available include cooks, nurses, caregivers, warehouse staff, baristas, sewing workers, and telemarketers, allowing attendees to explore job opportunities across a variety of fields in one place.
In addition to recruitment interviews, a range of services for female job seekers will be provided on-site, including job registration, vocational aptitude tests, job training program referrals, and employment counseling. Simple beverages and souvenirs will also be offered for the convenience of participants.

Park Yunhee, Director of Youth and Women’s Education at Daegu City, stated, “We have organized this event so that women seeking employment can more comfortably access job opportunities,” adding, “We will continue to operate customized, field-centered support programs to help women successfully return to the workforce.”
