"President Trump Expected to Emphasize 'War to End Within Three Weeks' in National Address"
"Specific Timeline and Achievements Expected to Be Announced"
U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to once again emphasize that the war with Iran will end within the next three weeks during his public address scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. KST on April 2, according to foreign media reports.
On April 1 (local time), CNN quoted a White House official as saying, "President Trump will reaffirm his intention to bring the war with Iran to an end within the next three weeks during his public address," adding, "This is slightly longer than the originally suggested war duration of four to six weeks."
The report continued, "President Trump is expected to provide an update on the progress of military operations during his address." It also stated, "The President will once again clearly articulate the four objectives the White House aims to achieve in the Iran war: the destruction of Iran's missiles and production facilities, the decimation of its navy, the severing of support for regional militia groups, and the elimination of Iran's nuclear capabilities."
The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) also cited an anonymous White House official, reporting that "President Trump is expected to reiterate that the Iran military operation, now entering its second month, has fulfilled all planned objectives and will be concluded within the next two to three weeks."

Earlier the same day, President Trump stated on his own social media platform, Truth Social, "The president of Iran's new regime has just requested a ceasefire from the United States," adding, "We will consider it only when the Strait of Hormuz is fully open and secure." However, Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs immediately responded, calling President Trump's reference to a ceasefire request "completely false and baseless."
