Jeon Eunsoo, Blue House Deputy Spokesperson, Promoted to Grade 1 Spokesperson... Kang Yoojeong Becomes "Chief Spokesperson"
Jeon Eunsu, previously the Deputy Spokesperson for the Blue House, has been promoted to Spokesperson.
On April 1, Lee Guyoun, Senior Presidential Secretary for Public Relations and Communication, announced this to reporters at the Chunchugwan briefing room.
With this promotion, Jeon's rank has been elevated from level-2 Senior Administrator to level-1 Secretary. In the case of Kang Yujeong, who was already at level-1, her title has been changed to Chief Spokesperson, assigning her an overall supervisory role.
As a result, the Blue House spokesperson's office will now consist of one Chief Spokesperson, one Spokesperson, and one Deputy Spokesperson. Since late February, the spokesperson's office had been operating with only one spokesperson, after Kim Namjun, the previous Spokesperson, ran in the by-election for National Assembly member in Gyeyang-eul, Incheon.

Jeon was born in Busan in 1984 and graduated from Ulsan Gongju National University of Education. She worked as an elementary school teacher before enrolling in the Pusan National University School of Law, passing the 4th bar exam. Afterward, she practiced as a lawyer in Ulsan and played a key role in attracting an external panel of the Busan High Court to the region.
