STX Engine to Participate in Yi Sun-sin Defense Industry Exhibition... Unveiling Naval Engines and Integrated Systems
From Naval Engines to Surveillance Systems
Highlighting the "Package Export" Strategy
STX Engine is unveiling its integrated solution capabilities at a maritime defense exhibition, showcasing everything from naval engines to surveillance systems. The company is strengthening its overseas market strategy by highlighting a strategy that bundles technologies and products in line with the global trend of "package exports."
STX Engine announced that from April 1 to April 3, it will participate in the Yi Sun-sin Defense Industry Exhibition, held at the Korea Naval Academy and the 11th Naval Pier in Jinhae, Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do, to showcase its core technologies, including engines for naval vessels and integrated propulsion systems.
At this exhibition, STX Engine will unveil its 1163 Series main engines, used in mine-laying ships (MLS-II) and guided missile patrol boats (PKG), as well as a model of the 4000 Series generator engine, which is applied to submarines and next-generation frigates. In addition, the company plans to introduce key equipment in the field of maritime surveillance and detection, such as the Towed Array Sonar System (TASS) and coastal surveillance radar.
STX Engine explained that it is enhancing its competitiveness with an "integrated package" strategy that goes beyond engine supply to encompass propulsion systems, power systems, and surveillance systems. The company plans to highlight its capabilities for customized integrated solutions by proposing various equipment combinations tailored to the needs of domestic and international customers.
This strategy aligns with the growing importance of "package exports" in the global defense market. Having already supplied propulsion systems to overseas markets such as the Philippines and Thailand, STX Engine is further expanding its export base by participating in naval vessel export projects in Latin America and the Middle East.
