SME Community: "Supplementary Budget Is a Timely Measure Addressing On-Site Difficulties of SMEs"
On March 31, the small and medium-sized business community expressed its support for the government's decision to prepare an additional supplementary budget in response to heightened external risks, such as instability in the Middle East.
The Korea Federation of SMEs stated in a commentary on the same day, "Providing support to minimize damage for exporting SMEs, and to stabilize the management of small business owners, is a timely measure that takes into account the on-site difficulties faced by SMEs and small business owners during a crisis."
The SME community also stated, "Above all, we welcome the inclusion of measures in this supplementary budget that reduce costs for export companies, such as the expansion of export vouchers, emergency support vouchers, and support for overseas joint logistics centers. We expect these measures to provide substantial relief to exporting SMEs that have been struggling with rising logistics costs and transportation disruptions."
They continued, "We also value the expansion of liquidity support, such as emergency management stabilization funds, and the supply of technology and credit guarantees, as well as the provision of support for SMEs and small business owners to recover. These are significant in terms of establishing a foundation for crisis response and a renewed challenge."
