Galaxia Moneytree to Supply Coupang Physical Gift Cards to 7-Eleven Stores Nationwide
Galaxia Moneytree announced on the 31st that it will participate as Coupang's first offline physical gift card business partner and supply gift cards to 7-Eleven stores nationwide. This collaboration marks Coupang's first expansion from its online-centered service structure into offline distribution channels.
The Coupang Gift Card can be purchased at 7-Eleven stores nationwide. Starting April 8, the Coupang Eats Gift Card will also be available through the same channel.
Galaxia Moneytree is a specialized company that issues and distributes Point of Sale Activation (POSA) prepaid cards and gift cards for major brands such as Google Play Card and Korean Air Gift Card. The company operates an extensive infrastructure of approximately 50,000 online and offline locations nationwide. As the No. 1 provider of prepaid payments at convenience stores in Korea, this partnership with Coupang further strengthens its position in the offline gift card market.
The Coupang Gift Card can be used for a wide range of Coupang services, including millions of Rocket Delivery items, luxury beauty service Alux, fresh grocery dawn delivery service Rocket Fresh, and Coupang Eats food delivery.
A Galaxia Moneytree representative stated, "Demand for gift cards is continuously increasing, particularly through business-to-business (B2B) channels, and their usage is expanding for various purposes such as employee benefits and marketing promotions. Moving forward, we plan to expand collaborations with major e-commerce and retail channels to drive further growth in our gift card business."
