Younghoon Kim, Minister of Employment and Labor, visited Kyungnam University to deliver a special lecture and host a talk concert on youth employment policies and regional settlement.
Under the theme "The Future of the Region, the Tomorrow of Youth," the event was held on March 27 at the Peace Hall in the Kyungnam University Creative Building. Students, faculty, and local youth attended the event. A coffee truck program was also available in front of the university's main building.

View original imageDuring his special lecture, Minister Kim explained youth employment policies and the direction of changes in the labor market, outlining policy directions necessary for young people to plan their careers in an evolving industrial environment. He particularly emphasized the importance of implementing policies that incorporate the voices of young people and expanding opportunities for youth to enter the labor market.
In the subsequent talk concert, students and representatives from the University Job Plus Center participated, engaging in a wide-ranging Q&A session on topics such as employment, career planning, and regional settlement.
At the event, a broad discussion took place on key issues affecting youth, including: ▲criteria for good jobs ▲fair recruitment ▲retirement age extension and youth employment ▲shortage of local jobs ▲avoidance of small and medium-sized enterprises and job mismatch ▲labor market changes due to AI adoption ▲platform and non-regular work.
