All Executives Pledge Responsible Management
"Supporting Tangible Results for Government Policies"

On March 23, Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced that it held the "2026 Responsible Management Pledge Ceremony" at its headquarters, attended by Jung Kyungsook, Acting President, executives, regional headquarters heads, and about 100 senior staff members. The company committed to actively supporting the government's national policy priorities—including stabilizing the metropolitan real estate market, promoting balanced regional development, and accelerating the transition to artificial intelligence (AI)—to achieve tangible results as soon as possible.

This year's housing construction target is set at a total of 96,000 units, including 52,000 newly built rental housing units and 44,000 newly acquired rental units. The Seoul metropolitan area will account for 86,000 units, an increase of 5,000 units compared to this year's target set in the government's September 7 supply plan last year. LH will accelerate the supply by shifting to direct project implementation. The company also plans to shorten project timelines in areas such as the Seoripul 1 and 2 districts in Seoul and Gwangmyeong-Siheung.

LH is also working to change public perceptions of public rental housing. In response to ongoing criticism about public rentals being small and located in remote areas, the company plans to increase the supply of large-unit public rentals and directly develop public rental housing in sites near major transit stations. This year, LH will recruit tenants for 38,000 leasehold rental units and 37,000 construction/acquisition rental units for vulnerable groups. The company has set a purchase target of 7,500 homes for victims of lease fraud. The redevelopment of the Yeongdeungpo shantytown is also scheduled to begin within the year.

To promote balanced regional development, LH will swiftly advance development projects for 13 national advanced industrial complexes in non-metropolitan areas. By the end of the year, plans for industrial complexes in Goheung-gun and Uljin-gun will be approved, while Daegu and Wanju-gun—where preliminary feasibility studies have been completed—will proceed with follow-up steps such as establishing industrial complex plans. The company also plans to create national symbolic zones and purchase 5,000 unsold homes in provincial areas as originally planned. To support corporate relocations to local regions, LH will introduce new region-specific business models that integrate industrial complexes, residential, and educational facilities in unified developments.

A mid- to long-term roadmap for the AI transition will also be released within the year. The company will fully implement its AI-based safety management system, "Neulbom A-Eye." This system analyzes CCTV footage from construction sites and rental housing using AI and automatically measures data from Internet of Things (IoT) sensors, enabling managers to monitor hazardous situations in real time. The rollout will be expanded to all construction sites nationwide and to regional acquired rental housing this year. LH will also establish a call center where AI agents respond 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and will develop a demand-prediction-based heating control system using AI technology.

Acting President Jung stated, "We will complete all 256 key tasks this year to improve the quality of life for citizens and to contribute to the stabilization of the metropolitan real estate market."
