Sejong University Launches Vietnamese International Students Alumni Association
Inaugural Meeting Held to Expand Global Alumni Exchange
Sejong University announced on the 26th that it held the inaugural meeting to officially launch the ‘Vietnamese International Students Alumni Association.’

View original imageThe event, which took place on the 6th of last month at the Windsor Plaza Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, was attended by about 50 alumni, primarily Vietnamese alumni residing in Ho Chi Minh City. Following the opening declaration, the program included a congratulatory video message from President Eom Jonghwa, welcoming and congratulatory remarks, a presentation on the university’s vision, the founding ceremony of the alumni association, the awarding of the certificate of appointment to the first president of the association, and the inaugural president’s acceptance speech.
In his video message, President Eom expressed, "I hope this meeting will serve as a starting point for the Sejong family to reconnect and for the Vietnamese alumni community to continue interacting and growing together in the future." He added, "I hope the founding of the alumni association will lay the foundation for communication and cooperation among alumni and become a new bridge connecting Sejong University and Vietnam."
Ngo Huu Cuong, a professor at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology who was elected as the first president of the alumni association, stated, "This inaugural meeting serves as an important starting point connecting Sejong University and the Vietnamese community of international student alumni." He continued, "Based on exchanges and cooperation among alumni, I will lead continuous growth and expansion of our network."
