The Namyangju Wangsuk District is a large-scale project aiming to provide a total of 80,000 housing units, with the first move-in scheduled for 2028. Among the third new towns, it has the largest volume of housing supply. Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) will directly oversee the development of 32,000 units for private supply here to increase the number of public sales. By changing the land use and increasing the floor area ratio, an additional 14,000 units are planned to start construction by 2030.
On this day, Minister Kim told officials from LH and Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Development Corporation (GH), "The third new towns must serve as the central axis for stabilizing housing in the Seoul metropolitan area."
He also instructed them to establish a dedicated task force (TF) to prevent delays in the project caused by coordination among related agencies or in the permitting process, and to accelerate the entire process from groundbreaking to the main subscription phase and resident move-in.
Minister Kim stated, "If we focus only on speed and neglect quality, it will be difficult to earn the public's trust," and urged, "Please proceed with the project while adhering to principles and procedures."

The purpose is to enable immediate response in the event of an accident at the construction site or if a worker experiences health problems.
