Netflix is planning a world tour for the animated film "K-Pop Demon Hunters."
According to Bloomberg and other sources on March 18 (local time), Netflix is currently planning a world tour for K-Pop Demon Hunters next year and is in discussions with concert production companies.
Reports state that Netflix is considering renting arena venues in major cities around the world, each capable of accommodating between 10,000 and 20,000 people, to hold performances. While the specific lineup has not yet been confirmed, there is talk of having Lee Jae, Audrey Nuna, and Ray Ami—who provided the vocals for the girl group Huntrix in the film—perform live on stage, or alternatively featuring virtual performers. However, it appears unlikely that the voice actors will be able to participate in the entire tour schedule.
K-Pop Demon Hunters is an animated film in which K-pop idols use the power of song to fight off evil spirits and save the world. It is one of Netflix's most successful hits, with over 500 million cumulative views. The theme song "Golden" maintained the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for seven consecutive weeks. It also won awards at major American pop culture ceremonies, including the Golden Globes, Grammys, and Academy Awards.
