At a multi-purpose cultural venue that opened last year in Gimhae, Gyeongnam, young local musicians specializing in traditional Korean music will perform.
The National Gaya Heritage Research Institute announced on March 18 that, starting from March 25, it will hold four traditional music performances and related events at the auditorium of the National Gaya History and Culture Center.
Students from the Department of Korean Music at Pusan National University, Department of Korean Traditional Music at Kyungpook National University (June 24), School of Music at Yeungnam University (September 30), and the Gimhae City Gayageum Orchestra (November 25) will each present a concert in turn.
Cultural lectures for the public will also be offered. In the first half of the year, a citizen academy on the theme of Gaya in ancient history will be held, and in the second half, a book concert will take place.
