MIPIM is an international event where major cities and public institutions, real estate developers, investment firms, and financial institutions from around the world discuss opportunities for urban development and real estate investment.
At this year's MIPIM 2026, held in Cannes, France, the Foundation set up a Seoul Pavilion. It promoted Seoul as an investment destination with both growth potential and stability, and confirmed global investors' interest in its key development projects.
While operating the Seoul Pavilion, the Foundation introduced major planned development sites in Seoul, including Yongsan Seoul Core and Sanggye Seoul Digital Bio City (S-DBC), as well as strategic industrial clusters such as Yangjae AI, Yeouido Finance, Magok Advanced Technology, and the DMC Media Industry.
In particular, this year, Deok Sik Seo, Head of Investment Promotion, participated as the sole presenter at the "ASIA LUNCH" event, which was organized to explore strategic opportunities in the Asian real estate investment and development market. He presented Seoul's major investment projects and potential development sites to about 100 selected global investors, highlighting promising investment opportunities.
Previously, at last year's MIPIM event, the Foundation also promoted Seoul's key development projects to global investors as part of its investment attraction activities. At that time, Yongsan Seoul Core was selected as one of the "Top 5 MIPIM Development Projects" by the U.S. real estate investment platform CoStar, alongside projects such as the new stadium project for Manchester United in the UK.
Meanwhile, the Foundation plans to continuously manage and strengthen the investor network established through participation in this global exhibition, and to invite these investors to the "NeXT Seoul 2026" real estate investment promotion event scheduled for the second half of this year.
