KICPA Signs MOU with Korea Guardianship Association on Adult Guardianship System
The Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants announced on March 12 that it had signed a "Mutual Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to Strengthen Transparency and Professionalism in Adult Guardianship" with the Korea Guardianship Association.
Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to cooperate in areas such as education and research related to adult guardianship, information exchange to enhance professionalism in asset management, legal and policy advisory and sharing of practical information on the adult guardianship system, building a multidisciplinary network to improve expertise, and professional exchanges to strengthen transparency in the management of guardianship assets.

Park Eunsoo, President of the Korea Guardianship Association, responded by saying, "For the adult guardianship system to earn the trust of the public, transparency in asset management is of utmost importance." He emphasized, "With this agreement, the professional capabilities of certified public accountants will be introduced to the guardianship field, thereby protecting the property rights of wards more securely and providing an opportunity for adult guardianship services in our society to advance to the next level."
