SPG Signs MOU with CUREXO for Supply of Precision Actuators for Medical Robots
SPG and CUREXO are joining forces to localize core components for medical robots and strengthen their global competitiveness.
The two companies announced that on March 12, they signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at CUREXO's Seoul headquarters for the "supply of precision actuators to localize medical robots and enhance global competitiveness."
The purpose of this agreement is to establish a stable supply chain for related components by applying SPG's precision actuators to CUREXO's medical robots, as well as to set up a technical cooperation system to further advance robot performance.
Under the agreement, SPG will be the primary supplier of precision actuators optimized for CUREXO's medical robot specifications. The two companies will also collaborate on designing custom actuators for ultra-precise control in medical robots and on improving performance through technical exchanges. In addition, they agreed to share data regarding durability and safety that meets medical device standards, and to strengthen joint marketing and promotional activities to enhance brand value and expand the market.
Furthermore, SPG plans to produce and supply products that meet the high-precision and high-rigidity requirements for medical robots in a timely manner, while providing technical support and maintenance services. CUREXO will provide the required specifications for the robot systems and will be responsible for testing and performance evaluation of robots equipped with SPG actuators.
