First Price Cut in Confectionery and Instant Noodle Industries
Reflecting Lower Raw Material Costs
Haitai Confectionery & Foods announced on the 12th that it will reduce the prices of two types of biscuit products that have a high proportion of flour as a raw material.
This is the first time a confectionery company has lowered product prices following recent reductions in raw material prices by flour and sugar suppliers.
According to Haitai Confectionery & Foods, the price of ‘Egg Snack Bebepin’ will be reduced by 5.3%, from 1,900 won to 1,800 won, and ‘Lollipolly’ will be reduced by 5.6%, from 1,800 won to 1,700 won. The large-sized ‘Lollipolly’ product will also be decreased by 4.0%, from 5,000 won to 4,800 won.
Haitai Confectionery & Foods plans to supply products at the reduced prices as soon as the existing inventory is sold out.
